Image License / “Can I use your photo for…”

To find the license for an image:

  1. If you are viewing the image in slideshow mode, you will see an “i” on the top edge of the screen; tap or click that “i”.
  2. Tap or click the “i” icon on the right edge of the screen.
  3. Read the “Copyright” section of the text. Tap or click on the name of the license for more information.
  4. Tap or click the “i” again to hide this information.

If an image does not have a license specified, then all rights are reserved for that image.

To encourage sharing on social media for non-commercial use, I've given many of the images on this website a Creative Commons (BY-NC-ND 4.0) license. Although that license allows you to copy and share the image, it does not allow you to modify the image (including not cropping, applying filters, or removing the watermark). When sharing or otherwise using these image, show the attribution: Photo by TuxedoPhoto.com

If you want to do something that is beyond the limits of the existing license, including a commercial use of the image, or using a version of the image without a watermark, please contact me:
